Port Vila, October 21: The Ministry of Justice and Community Services (MJCS) is pleased to announce that Ann Sharon Pakoa has successfully completed the Master of Business Administration program at Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan.
As the Capacity Development Coordinator at the MJCS, Ms. Ann Sharon Pakoa received a JICA scholarship under SDG’s Global Leaders Programme to pursue advanced studies in Japan for two years. Kwansei Gakuin University is recognized as one of the top private universities in the greater Kansai region.
During her time at Kwansei Gakuin, Ann also in one week internship with Pacific Islands Centre and a six months internship with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and South Pacific, these internships were part of her program. Her studies emphasized innovative business practices and cross-cultural management, broadening her academic horizons and enriching her understanding of robust business dynamics.
Reflecting on her experience, Ann shared, "I am incredibly grateful to Vanuatu JICA and Vanuatu Government for the opportunity to study at Kwansei Gakuin University. The knowledge and experiences I've gained there will be invaluable as I will move forward in my career in the future. I look forward to applying what I’ve learned to make a positive impact in the Vanuatu public services sector."
Ann’s journey in Japan has not only equipped her with advanced business skills but has also fostered a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and collaboration. Her achievements reflect her dedication and passion for excellence.
