    Justice & Youth Sector Strengthens Provincial Service Delivery Through Annual Networking Training

    Luganville, Santo – 9 October 2025: The Ministry of Justice successfully concluded a three-day provincial networking training in Luganville, Santo, aimed at strengthening the capacity and collaboration of provincial officers across key government departments and agencies within the Justice & Youth Sector.

    The training was officially opened on 6 October by the Hon. Minister, Job Andy, who encouraged all participants to take full advantage of the learning opportunity and apply the knowledge gained in their daily work.

    The Minister highlighted that the training provides an important platform for provincial officers to share experiences, strengthen coordination, and ensure consistent delivery of services across their respective provinces.

    The annual networking program brought together 30 participants representing various units and offices, including the Human Rights Office (Child and Disability Desks), Department of Women’s Affairs, Customary Land Management Office, Office of the Public Prosecutor, Public Solicitor’s Office, Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs, Department of Correctional Services, Office of the Ombudsman, and the Department of Youth and Sports.

    The main objective of the training was to empower provincial officers through sessions focused on planning, reporting, financing, monitoring and evaluation, and human resource principles. It also included an induction program for new officers joining the Human Rights Unit.

    The training was facilitated by senior officers from the Corporate Services Unit of the Ministry of Justice, and a Senior Trainer from the Public Service Commission’s Vanuatu Institute of Public Administration and Management.

    The three-day event, concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony recognizing participants commitment and contribution to strengthening provincial service delivery across Vanuatu. This activity came about through important partnership with Vanuatu Australia Policing & Justice Program (VAPJP) and Vanuatu Institute of Public Administration (VIPAM).
