    The FIU Commission of Inquiry impressed the Council of Ministers with their findings and recommendations

    The Commission of Inquiry into the Director of the Vanuatu Financial Intelligent Unit (FIU) has completed its final report. Under the leadership of Peter Bong, former Police Commissioner, Ombudsman Investigator, and former police criminal investigator, the commission has delivered an outstanding result.

    The Carnival Australia Company is to make a major investment of well over 2 billion vatu in a new tourism project on Mystery Island in Tafea Province. The company have come up with the project because cruise ships have been visiting Mystery Island for 40 years, but for some reason the facilities on the island have still not improved.

    43 years after independence the chiefs of Aneityum welcome word of Vanuatu’s laws

    PORT VILA, DECEMBER 20: Last week, 43 years after independence, chiefs on Vanuatu’s southernmost island of Aneityum welcomed teams raising awareness of the country’s laws for the first time. Malvatumauri, with support from the Vanuatu Australia Policing and Justice Program (VAPJP), has developed a workshop to help chiefs perform their customary law roles in communities and to better understand the state-made laws of Vanuatu.
