    The murder of a young boy in Bukura is unacceptable

    The Vanuatu Human Rights Office has strongly condemned the brutal murder of an innocent 3-year-old boy in the Bukura area last week.

    Acting CLMO National Coordinator

    The Public Service Commission (PSC) has appointed an Acting National Coordinator of the Customary Land Management Office (CLMO).

    He is John Nalwang, a lawyer who has worked in private law firms, the public service and most recently as Head of Legal Services in Parliament before accepting the offer.

    In Vanuatu and around the world, most people resolve their justice problems outside of formal state systems through customary or informal court procedures.

    MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING IN SANMA PROVINCE

    The Ministry of Health held a three-day training on mental health for child protection and disability officers from the provinces. This training was held this month in Luganville and was attended by 17 participants representing the Child Desk Team, the Disability Desk Team, and the Department of Women's Affairs in Sanma Province.

    Justice Sector Network Meeting

    A two-day networking meeting in Port Vila was organized by the Ministry of Justice and Community Services with support from the Vanuatu-Australia Policing and Justice Program.
